My Tweets this week: Don't call me a Capitalist and wasn't Reagan my enemy too?

Highlighted tweets from my twitter this week. You can follow me at http://twitter.com/codywillard.

    * Break up the insurance companies by simply enforcing existing anti-trust law and let innovation take place for the rest of us. Think of it this way -- If we break the five biggest companies in each of the insurance, pharma, and hospital industries int five or ten companies each -- by simply stopping the anti-trust law exemption that these industries get, then we'd instantly have competition throughout the industry and we'd have 25-50 new companies in each industry innovating and trying to provide "better" service, creating new jobs...what's to lose?! That's what the anti-trust laws were for!

    * I called myself a "liberal of sorts" today cuz I do blv in welfare health care for poor people. I'm a FREE THINKER. Shouldn't you want to be thinking free too? Yeah, I'm all for local and state-funded welfare health care for poor children and I am open to debate on WHC for poor adults. Doesn't universal coverage cut supply of welfare for the poor? Doesn't that mean people who want universal coverage hate poor people?

Any bill from any Repub/Democrat has lost site of what the whole idea of welfare ... Read Morehealth care is. Break up the insurance companies by simply enforcing existing anti-trust law and let innovation take place for the rest of us. No new bills! Kill old bills instead.

We have LAWS alrdy against the anti-trust probs in cae- enforce them! don't pass 1200pgs of new laws written by the culprits.

    * Who decides how to allocate the resources of the industry? Bureaucrats? I ain't ever gonna defend the current system of for-PROFITEERING corporations...but for profit corporations are self-... Read Moresustaining entities. Big diff, IMHO.

Profiteering off taxpayer largesse = evil.

Profiting with innovative insurance and health care products bought and paid for by individuals = prosperous (and it ain't nobody else's business if two parties wanna exchange services for money anyway).

    * Connell asks a great question, IMHO - "Many extreme guests lately (capitalism is dead etc). Isn't it possible we had a very tough time, and now things are slowly getting better?" In Oct 2002, I took the other side of the collapse with my HF biz. But I don't see the bottom in this NWO. We're all screwed by the the bailouts and stimulus and govt this time.

    * Corporatism gone blatant in bribery. Blackrock must never be allowed another govt contract again. http://bit.ly/2aU4H

    * Get me back $800BB from TARP, stop all guarantees and clawback EVERY bonus $ paid out at any bank that's taken a dime in any bailout. #tfree

    * Don't call me a "capitalist" either. I simply believe that we should enforce contract law. Call me a "contract lawist" I guess.

    * We can't stop cuz they won't stop- "National Assn Of Home Builders Seek Financial Aid From [Republicans and Democrats in] Congress" #tfree

    * When the corporations aint writing bills for Congress, they're messing w investors: "GE says GE Capital improving, bad loans to linger" WTF?

    * Groupthink Libertarians are shunned Groupthink Republicans. Reagan was your enemy too, people! Bushes, Clintons are also your enemies. #tfree

    * Liberals who are for universal health care hate poor people. And Conservatives offering alternatives hate the Constitution. TRUTH! #tfree

    * Lobo is confused when Ben wants us to believe that taxing Lobo's buds at the shelter to bailout homeowner dogs is good for his buds. Lobo wonders why we'd give the limited health care srvces now avail for poor dogs to more dogs. Shelter dogs squeezed out by homeowner dogs #tfree

    * I'm happy to debate welfare health care for poor people. What does that have to do with this 1200 page health care bill? NOTHING! Am happy to debate the unconstitutionality and negative economics of welfare health care. Any "alternative" plan from the the Republican Socialists ain't that!

    * What are "liberals" supposed to be fighting for? What about "conservatives"? You ARE BOTH SO LOST & OWNED by the corporate interests! #tfree

    * Your mission as a patriot: DESTROY the Republican, Democrat and Libertarian and all other GROUP THINK platforms. http://bit.ly/TYRvD This is war. I am at war against these corrupt parties. Period. #tfree The alternative is to vote for free thinkers. Screw national parties. I didn't want this war. They brought it to me when they went overt in wealth confiscation for corporate cronies and crooked bankers. Fight with me, peacefully. We can win this war with words and votes. But it's up to you. You're with them or you're with America. #tfree

    * Don't believe people when they say independents have no chance. They are only perpetuating the problem and they too are your enemy.

And finally, a friend reminds me: "My, my, you have been working hard...take some time today for love and beauty.. http://bit.ly/cRe8M" Duly noted.

Hey Cody, Did you catch Beck on the new "Privacy Statement on the Government Site? I saw this comment on it and saw the clip from Fox.... Talk about Big Brother!!! http://3pts.wordpress.com/2009/08/02/nsa-patriot-act-no-its-cars-gov/ I guess this is the Change that the Liberals wanted!! They have slipped this one in and NO one (except Glen Beck) has mentioned it?? What's up, man? This is real serious!! People could be in trouble with a foriegn government just by agreeing to a US government Privacy Statement!!! Does anyone know what they are agreeing to when they agree to this Privacy Statement?? Just thought you should know about it!! Later

Please stop the rants about unearned excessive compensation. Pay the big bonuses.. The bigger the better. 50% goes into a government treasury. Reduce the deficits with the proceeds. It would be nice if it were used for a worthy purpose but that will not happen. Since over 50% of these funds accrue to governments at different levels it seems to me that the idiots in government should keep their mouths shut.

Hey Cody, Its been a long time since we chatted or emailed but I wanted to take a moment to come on here and give you some credit. Last time we spoke, I took you to task for predicting the DJIA would go up. I thought it would go down. I stand corrected. You were right, I was wrong. I still believe that what we are seeing is a fools rally that will melt away in the autumn but I have to admit when I was wrong. We MUST demand that the FED be audited and also keep up the fight against Fascism and Eugenics. Obama care MUST BE DEFEATED before it destroys us. Kyle J

You're a little late to the show, but a welcome voice nevertheless. I futilely blogged about the uselessness of both parties, and the inseparability of the two "opposing" candidates last Fall. That election proved that no vote was the right vote because I couldn't vote for a candidate I couldn't believe in. Keep up the good work - even if 95% of Americans are too apathetic to actually do something about it.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch... Your miscalls on the Dow and on CAT and MMM seem to be getting very expensive for your subscribers..or do you have stop-losses in place?

Y'all, remember the Matrix? Some people are so dependent on the system, though it controls them, that they will fight to keep it... tell no tales!

Cody, Cody, Cody.....tsk tsk - if it weren`t for Ronald Reagan, Fox News wouldn`t be the network it is today, and Roger Ailes wouldn`t have provided you with such a fat living. As for healthcare for the poor - they have more and better care today than they will if Obamacare succeeds.

This is an out-there question, but you have a bit of that conspiratorial mindset, which I like, by the way: Is it possible that the missing stimulus money, all those hundreds of billions, are being used to buy stocks, leading the way to hostile takeovers of some companies while making it seem the economy is doing better to boot? Is it possible to track big buying trends in the market?

Cody - ease back on the sugar, or whatever you are on - I recommend you spend at least 4 hours in remedial classroom with Glenn Beck as your tutor. And get a haircut.

You are right about the wasted paper. The government should focus on modifying existing regulations or changing existing regulations. But, their lack of effort here is creating depression and outrage. Politicians have found that making additional law is easier, more fun and perhaps more profitable. We may have the dog by the tail; but, it can still bite.
