Basically, we have two problems which are related.

First, our country has been brainwashed with bad science. Both economic science and natural science are not honestly taught. The whole concept of global warming is bad science and socialism has never worked anywhere it was tried.

The far, far bigger problem is that our country has a foundational problem that is so much more dangerous than polution or political parties. We have lost our ethics, our values, our honesty and our integrity. We have been corrupted like a third world nation. The prosperity of a nation depends on it’s ethics or lack thereof.

Quit pointing at politicians. They simply are willing to do whatever the masses tell them to do. Look instead at the masses. There’s your problem. Fix the masses and you fix the problem. That will take a long time.

The advancement of our society has been based in large measure on progressively less costly means of accomplishing work. In part, this means that cheaper energy drives quality of life, opening doors that would otherwise be closed to common folk. Now, the obamanites and their dupes proclaim the efficacy of very poor science in justifying one of the biggest tax increases in the history of the world. Face it, this is a great bill for the lying liars of the lunatic left, but it will only degrade freedom for most of us. Only the elites (a) to whom middle class wealth is transferred in the bogus, earth-worshipping name of environmental “necessity” and (b) reelected on the basis of donations from the disreputably, centralized economy-selected “businesses” will come out ahead. The rest of us will see an additional $3,000 or so per household wasted by the socialists of the obamanation.

I love it when they call it the “clean energy” bill or the “climate” bill. It is nothing more than a tax. Didn’t Obama say something about not raising taxes to 95% of Americans? Well guess what this raises taxes for 100% of Americans. So, am I the only one who remembers these contradictions or are we simply choosing to see the “good” in all of this. “clean” energy, rather ironic I would say, given that the energy growth will be in the nuclear arena and not much anywhere else. keep talking about solar and wind, thats nothing more than a hot fart coming out of your mouth. Is someone else here tired of the lies and the medias ignorance of this?

It’s questionable whether any proponents of the Waxman-Markey bill really understand that it is no more than an effort to suppress property rights and freedom under the cover of
utilizing bad science to enable a totalitarian agenda. The same proponents of this bill are the ones who stood shoulder to shoulder to stop our development of nuclear energy going back at least 35 years that I can remember. Remember this — The New Green is just the Old Red.

Young Man. At some point you will mature and realize that neither the democrat nor the republican politicians care in any way about you the “little man”. Once this eureka moment occurs, you will either (1) realize that life is not fair and you must get over it or (2) find a way to profit from it. While it is fun swinging at the windmills, it actually changes nothing; this spoken by someone that has been there. The driver in this country is money – if you don’t have it or cannot generate it – your opinion does not matter. Even your “noble” environmental stewards are mostly driven by donations and financial survival of “their mission” and the most important part is the continuation of the process rather than a happy outcome. Welcome to adulthood.

Why does no one want to include natural gas in any of this. Nat. gas is up to 50% cleaner than so called clean coal,cheaper than wind, solar, or ethanol. It is abundent we do not have to import it and if we use it we will create thousands of good paying jobs now. Think about it, if wind and solar power are so profitable why do we have to put so much tax money invsestment in. If it were really effecient and profitable then T-Boone and all the others would be using their own money or they would have investers lined up. We have to realize that if there is no profit no one will invest therefore the only ones that are profiting from this so called energy bill is the governmental idiots that are in office.
