The Cody Word

Don't Let The Democrat Republican Regime and the MSM Pigeonhole Me...Or You

I had the honor of covering the Boston Tea Party of 2009 for Fox Business Network on Wednesday, April 15. In the moments after the protesters threw the empty boxes of tea into the Boston Harbor, as the crowd broke into a spontaneous chorus of our National Anthem, I got the chills and wondered how this cowboy from NM had ended up covering such an event for a national network.

After a long day of work after a whirlwind 20 hour/40 tv and radio hit trip to Boston, I fell asleep on my couch about 9pm last night. Only to arise to find Jon Stewart on Comedy Central, which my DVR records and I sometimes watch, saying my name. That's pretty cool, I gotta say, but here's the rub: he said I "dropped the F-bomb [as in fascism] on Obama".

Click here to watch the clip from The Daily Show (my face shows up at the 4 minute mark).

I immediately put word out at http://twitter.com/codywillard that "For the record, Comedy Central - I called out the Republican/Democrat Regime...NOT just Obama. #tfree #spokeup ROCK ON!"

I mean, it's ABSURD the way they took what I said and ran it completely OUT OF CONTEXT. I clearly did not ONLY say Obama's Democratic Administration and the current Congress are "fascist"; I CLEARLY AND REPEATED CALLED OUT BOTH THE REPUBLICANS AND THE DEMOCRATS IN POWER FOR BEING "FASCIST" IN THE ACTUAL CLIP.

Click here to see the clip and what I actually said. I talked about how The Constitution itself is only 6 pages long and over which every single word was debated and fought contrasted by the 1,071 page stimulus package that no Republican or Democrat lawmaker bothered to read before signing into law. I say "the people out here are upset and angry and are fighting the Republicans and the Democrats." I call out the "Republican-led $160 billion stimulus package from 2007" before I call out the "$800 billion Republican/Democrat Fascist Stimulus package", finishing that sentence by asking the question from the clip that The Daily Show ran and said was me ranting about Obama: "Guys, when are we going to wake up and start fighting the fascism that's permeating this country?"

If Mussolini himself defined fascism as the marriage of government and business and the Republican/Democrat regime in power has given three times more in outright welfare infusions for the people rich enough but stupid enough to have risked their money on big bank or insurance or car stocks and bonds and hedges than they allocate every single year for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and food stamps in this country, then what do you call what's happening in the last year?

See, the sham of "left" vs. "right" is over. They're both so owned by corporate interests, that they've literally handed trillions of dollars to shareholders of only the biggest corporations in this country.

And now the government owns these corporations. And that's, by definition, fascism. And that was done fully and equally by Republicans and Democrats now in power.

And that's why I keep telling people, as I explained to a little kid at the Boston Harbor during the Tea Party of 2009 itself during my Shot Clock segment Wednesday -- that if you vote for the lesser of two evils, you're still voting for evil.

It's 2009. Talk to your constituents for free, directly, endlessly, 24/7/365 using myspace.com, twitter.com, facebook, youtube, spokeup.com, blogger.com, etc. You don't need to sell out to an antiquated, rigid, political party platform.

Serve your constituents, not your party.

If you think what's happening in this country politically right now is about "left" or "right", "conservative vs. liberal", "Republican vs. Democrat" -- then you're missing it. It's not a partisan movement. It's not a bi-partisan movement. It's not even a non-partisan movement. You can call it anti-partisan as I like to. Or even post-partisan.

But wake up and don't let them pigeonhole me or you anymore.

What we have here is a $#!+ shoveling contest, and the average citizen is nothing more than collateral damage. All I want is my own shovel.

Well, I'll say one thing for our politicians. They seem to have a real knack for pissing people off. The funny thing is they don't know they're doing it. Kind of like asking someone if they are a moron - if they are, how would they know?

Cody, I just want to let you know you are one of the few that gets it. You first caught my ear when I heard you say "Free Your Mind" (I have been saying that for a long time) and "Go out and adopt a dog:) Please keep doing what you do, speaking the truth because we are listening. Your Fascist statement was right on point. I suggest Fox give you more air time! Beck should have you on his show.
