1. Wall Street legend Mark Madoff and his coworkers apparently defrauded investors out of tens of billions of dollars, including all of the advisory business’ money. What was the SEC doing that they didn’t realize not just some of the money but all the money was gone..and not even that until the crooks came to them…Meanwhile, they criminalized shortselling. Trust doesn’t come from regulation.

2. Some very rich people woke up this morning to find out what Madoff had been telling them was worth tens of billions of dollars was actually worthless. Didn’t we all wake up a few months ago to find out what Vikram Pandit, John Thain, and the rest of the investment bankders had been telling us was worth trillions was actually worthless? Why is Madoff going to prison and the other crooks aren’t?

3. When somebody’s in real trouble, I believe most Americans act in the same way this dog does in this incredible video. Regulations and welfare programs didn’t make this dog heroic. Get the parallels here, people?
