Cody, I have listened to you repeatedly attack the auto bridge loans as a form of welfare for big business financed on the backs of the common citizen. If you want to get into a discussion of welfare, then we should talk about welfare states, those that receive more in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes.I find it interesting that most of the states that voted against the bridge loans were welfare states such as Alabama($1.66 spending for each dollar of taxes collected),Louisiana($1.78), Mississippi($2.02),and Tennessee($1.27) and For years auto states such as Michigan and Illinois have done their part to fund this welfare. Yet when it came time to support the auto industry the welfare states bailed out on their benefactors and fellow citizens. As the midwest loses the high paying auto jobs, I hope that these states plus your home state of New Mexico, the #1 welfare state($2.03), can find other sources of welfare.

Hey Cody; The unbalance coverage of financial issues does not seem any different then the the unbalance coverage of regular news issues. I saw a little piece on a bomb blast in an Oregon bank that killed a policeman. Then puff the magic dragon it was gone. Pres. elect O'bummer said change is on its way? Sunday night a drive by shooting took out the DHS windows in my town. I am seeing the change my friend.

Here’s my simple comprehensive exam: (Caution: I will be grading the media on the same grading scale, so be aware of class conflict issues.) Who do you think deserves to be treated like a criminal? A. UAW autoworker working under a contract established through representation and agreed upon by corporate representatives and union representatives. B. Bernard Madoff, using “proprietary trading mechanisms” losing billions of dollars and destroying many peoples lives. NOTE: Please disregard that CNBC’s entire staff has referred to Mr. Madoff as “just a great guy.”

Number 8 is interesting. "Empowered?" 92% against the finanacial bailout, but it passes with little restistance. People are slaves now. Media has long lost it's edge to energize people to take action. Never thought of the bailout as a peace keeping measure. No bailout and you have a situation like 12 people waiting in your corporate headquarters wondering where their money is. Police=bailout for Madoff. And the empowerment grows.

The fuse has been lit. I would like to send my personal appreciation to Mr. Madoff for being the first in a line of many to come. Probably feels good to finally come clean. 50 billion dollars, when does this get the press that it deserves? Bailout is chicken feed compared to these guys. Let’s see, if I owned a hedge fund and wanted to escape into the abyss of denial, I’d buy a property in Beach Newport and talk about how hedge funds have become far to greedy. Fox should switch gears and stop concentrating on the UAW and the small 3. The unbalance coverage of financial issues borderlines on all out class warfare. It’s amazing how callused we have become to disasters of Enron proportions. I personally know two people who have been completely wiped out by this. “Sorry we don’t have your money and oh by the way, your taxes will increase astronomically in the next five years, good luck with your retirement.” Effort analysis on negative coverage for Bailout funding: 70% Effort (mostly Cody) against financial bailout 150% Effort towards the UAW and auto bailout. I’m 110% against both but Fox’s unbalanced coverage is blatantly obvious. Who cares about Bernard Madoff, those dirty auto workers. We have big problems in this country with who we demonize.

Uh, teach, can I "bail out" of this test?
